It all started with a big rescue dog named Cooper
We fell in love with large dogs after adopting Cooper, a 115-lb. American Bulldog, mastiff mix. When we found a property outside Madison, Wis. with a huge fenced yard on 7 acres of woods, we nicknamed the place Coopers Run. A few years after we lost Cooper, Jeff encountered a Boerboel and became captivated with the breed. Fortunately, Mae Boerboel is only a couple hours away and soon Mae Kobe entered our lives.
Our Mission
At Badgerland, our program seeks to prioritize health, a calm and stable temperament, and correct structure. Our goal – through thoughtful selection, comprehensive health testing, and careful breeding decisions – is to produce puppies that develop into confident guardians and affectionate members of the family. It’s been a privilege for us to own these wonderful dogs. It’s really changed our lives and we’d like to help others experience this extraordinary breed.
